“This hard work signifies our commitment to bring this lifestyle to more people in, and moving to, the Charlotte area.  But a healthy, thriving community is more than just buildings and apartment homes.  It is a team of committed professionals with a mission of serving our residents in a way that brings life to all who pass through these doors,” said Mr. Comfort.

Windsor Run was proud to welcome local dignitaries to the event, including John Higdon, Mayor Pro Tem of Matthews, Barbara Dement, Chris Melton & Jeff Miller, Town Commissioners of Matthews, Hazen Blodgett, Matthews Town Manager and Kelly Barnhardt, Executive Director of the Matthews Chamber of Commerce.

Members of the Erickson Living corporate executive team were in attendance, including Alan Butler, Chief Executive Officer, and Debra Doyle, Chief Operating Officer.   Windsor Run is the 19th community developed and managed by Erickson Living, serving more than 24,000 residents nationwide.

Ms. Patricia Bell, a future resident and retired high school teacher who has lived in the Charlotte area since she was age 14, provided the keynote address.

“At Windsor Run, I am so looking forward to making new friends.  I will have relief from home ownership responsibility and expense and will have a feeling of safety and security,” stated Ms. Bell.  “I can honestly say that I think it is going to be fun.”

In its first phase of development this year, Windsor Run will introduce 216 apartment homes featuring 34 stylish floor plans in two independent living buildings serving 300 residents.  Construction on the continuing care neighborhood will begin in 2019, with an expected opening in 2020.
