Isaiah Williams who is a freshman on the Porter Ridge varsity basketball team had an outstanding night when the Pirates played East Mecklenburg recently in the tough and highly competitive Southwestern 4A Conference.  The Union County Indian Trail team has had a much improved season at 11-5 overall, and 4-4 in the conference.

The 6’3″ youngster came off the bench to score 21 points, grabbed 4 rebounds, and had 2 steals against the Eagles.  He was selected as the “Player of the Game” by head coach, Garrett Malone for his performance in the Pirates 78-52 conference victory.

The freshman has been an integral part of the teams success this season for the Pirates.  In 15 games he has averaged 9.3 points per game, 5.5 rebounds, 1.3 assists, 0.9 steals, and 0.5 blocks during the 2018-19 campaign to date.
