Max Brimigion the Warriors senior wide receiver ended the regular season very strong over the past three games and deserves this recognition as being selected the Tri-W-News “Featured Player of the Week.”
The 6’1″, 180 pound athlete plays two sports at Weddington football and basketball. He also is a defensive back for the Warriors when he is not catching passes. He has quietly accumulated good statistics over the season. However, in the last three games he turned up his game to another level and caught 20 receptions for 435 yards and five touchdowns for the 10-1 Warriors. He has become quarterback Whitner Litton’s most reliable target and possibly his favorite. The combination has become a major weapon and is expected to potentially play a key factor in the upcoming state football championship playoffs.
In the Warriors 44-21 win over the Cavaliers on Friday night the two seniors connected on 9 receptions for a total of 200 yards and two touchdowns. Brimigion made two outstanding touchdown receptions for 56 and 30 yards. Also, a fantastic sideline catch inside the red zone between two defenders.
Congratulations Max Brimigion for earning this recognition!
