Africa Beckons, But in Comfort Please Part 1

Several of you have written, asking if I can describe an African Safari that combines comfort, elegance, and reasonable prices. Sometimes these requests are difficult, but not in Africa. Surprised? I certainly was. I have found a niche of specialty suppliers that can provide elegant African Safaris at a reasonable cost. One very reputable supplier is headquartered right here in the Carolinas and does customized Land Only Tours. For our trip right now, we are going to take a CRUISE TOUR of Africa. Sound crazy? Just look at the geography of Africa. The wonderful Chobe River is a sanctuary for the most popular game in Africa, as well as for the biggest variety of birds in the world.

We start our expedition arriving in Cape Town, South Africa. We have a deluxe room at the Cape Grace Hotel on the Victoria and Alfred waterfront. Our hotel has won a place as a member of the Leading Hotels of The World. We have a French balcony overlooking the waterfront with just a perfect breeze. Everything here reminds us of the history of Cape Town at it’s best.

The next day we rise to a great breakfast at our hotel, then head out for an included, all day, tour of Cape Town, the Cape of Good Hope, and an included Lunch With Locals. What a great start to our adventure as sun sets over Cape Town.

The next morning we continue to explore this unusual and breathtaking town. We take the Cableway to Table Mountain top, a scenic drive through Cape Winelands. We even get to enjoy wine tastings and a very nice lunch, all included in our package Phil and Barbara arranged. On return to our Hotel, we try to get to sleep early, but sleep just does not overcome the excitement. Our Safari begins tomorrow.
Bright and Early, we head out to the airport for our included flight to Kasane, Botswana. We ARE IN SAFARI COUNTRY.

Check back next week for part 2 of Africa Beckons, But in Comfort Please.
