Our concierge had filled us in on where to grab a snack, and where to go for dinner. During our stay, we learned so much about the two resorts, Sandals Barbados, and Sandals Royal Barbados. There have been so many improvements just in the last 3 years, including the addition of a new, all suite, spa building, new restaurants, and new entertainment. Sandals proudly displays all the awards this resort has won over the last several years, as they continue to exceed expectations and win “Best of the Best” in every evaluation by peers.
Our Concierge made us dinner reservations at our requested venues, despite our arrival in the middle of the week.
HINT: New reservations open up on Friday Mornings. Make your reservations at the high-demand restaurants at 9 am Friday, and you will get everything you want. There are about 5 restaurants that require advance reservations, the other 12 or so do not require reservations. Each of the resorts has a “Butches” restaurant, Demand is high, but the menu, ambiance, and service is only exceeded by the quality of food service.
One night we had the BEST Surf and Turf ever at Schooners Restaurant. This venue does NOT require reservations. It is an open-air restaurant, located on the beach, and has an outstanding menu. The service was spot on, the server was spectacular, and food was brought out piping hot and cooked to perfection. After dinner, we had them bring us each a glass of wine, and we moved a few fett out to the beach, for the most wonderful breeze, views, and quiet you could ever imagine. We shared the beach with several couples who had ordered the “Private Beach Romantic Dinner” that evening. Each had a Butler serving them from the special menu, private tables with candles, linens, and silver, and a Caribbean Moon as a backdrop.
