MINT HILL, NC – Day 5 was our last day, so what could Virgin do to make our trip more memorable. They could find a small private island, with Palm trees, beaches, bonfires, pools, a dining shack beachside, and lots of drinks. Well, somehow Virgin found all of that on an Island Called Bimini. Not a private island. That’s just not good enough for the Richard Branson crew. THE Island in the Bahamas is famous for beachside homes rented as Air BNB, Condo complexes on the beach colored in pink stucco, A famous Hilton Hotel and Casino, and a Private Beach leased out to virgin for exclusive use when the ship is at the port. No matter how you look at it, this is pure class, Virgin style. Everything is clean, the food and drinks are very good, the beach is awesome. There are plenty of umbrellas, cabanas, and poolside loungers. Restrooms are clean, the water is purified and the food is hot as the drinks. It is a ten-minute beach train ride or a semi-private jitney ride, all at no charge. The Pier is almost new and we were the only ship there. The water is so blue you can see down forever. The sand is perfect, and there is wait service all over. BTW, there was even a ship’s Wifi there. Did I mention Virgin includes basicWifi in every reservation? Dinner tonight was at Razzles. This restaurant is good food, has great fun, has a good atmosphere, and is just a super place to wind down and enjoy a night out.
