Why whine about your wine when you can win it all on a “wine Cruise”
I promise, no more of those sayings. Every year we are asked to set up a wine cruise for a group that wants a real wine expedition right at the vineyards, without having to drive from 1 to the next. Often a hometown Wine Lounge or Wine Retailer will sponsor a group trip like this for their clients so they can demonstrate where the wines originate and how they excel. Besides reduced pricing for us from the River Cruise Line, the real advantage is clients get to see how a Wine Concierge gives personal knowledge of wine products.
Let’s take a typical Wine Cruise in the Bordeaux Region.
We fly into Paris, the city of lights, where our adventure will begin. On day 2 in Paris, we enjoy our included city tour of the cities top highlights. We visit the Eiffel Tower, Rue de Paris, Champs Elysees, and really enjoy the food and wine that Paris is so well known for. Not to miss, is Paris nightlife, and our representative is able to get us rare show tickets.
Day 3 Takes us to the Train Station, where we board our Hi Speed TGV train to Bordeaux. The fountains in the main square were so refreshing. At the Pier we were welcomed on our magnificent River Ship AMA DOLCE. No long lines boarding, and a welcoming crew made the sight of this ship even better than we imagined. We were each greeted by name, offered a welcome drink, and a refreshing, cool washcloth. This ship is magnificent. With only 74 staterooms, everyone meets and greets one another as new friends.. The Lounge is so open, with glass walls that show the wonderful city of Bordeaux in all of it’s splendor. We have a French Balcony Stateroom with a 7 foot window to enjoy the scenery right from our stateroom. The dining room seats all of us in one sitting and is open and airy. Linen covered tables and a rose color setting, make every minute here a delight. Wine and Beer are Included with our meals, and on this voyage, the wine selections are superb.
