Keep Those Lines Of Communication Open With Your Landscaper

CHARLOTTE – In order to get what you want from landscape contractors you must communicate with them.  Everyone has an image of what they want their property to look like as well as expectations of the company that is providing their services on a regular basis.

Tip #1: Know what you want:

It’s easier to communicate with your landscape provider if you know what you want them to accomplish.  Being a prepared consumer will help you get what you want!

Tip #2: Know who your point of contact is:

Most landscape companies assign a specific project manager or supervisor to their clients.  This manager is the direct point of contact for the homeowner or property manager and they are responsible for assuring that the customer’s needs are met.

Tip #3: Understand what you are paying for:

You work hard for your money and deserve to know what you are getting for it. Contracts should be clear and simple about the goods and services you are expecting to receive. Make sure that you aren’t just getting a bill every month from your landscaper without knowing what you are paying for.

Tip #4: Ask questions and give feedback:

The best form of communication is two-way. Don’t allow your landscape provider to just tell you what they are going to do. Have an open two-way discussion about what works and what doesn’t work for you. Agree to meet on a regular basis, whether it be monthly or quarterly and also depending upon the services provided, to discuss how things are going and to work through any issues that may need addressing.
