Big horse, small horse
Brown horse, white horse!
Horses come in a variety of shapes, sizes and especially colors. Some horses are black and white, like cows but are definitely equines. Other horses are tiny, like the size of a Great Dane canine but they are still classified as horses. Some horses have long, arched necks and others have curved ears. Just like dogs and cats, there is an enormous variety of horse breeds.
German Shepherds have distinctive characteristics, such as their coloring and pointed ears, and Appaloosas, for instance, have specific traits, such as their polka dotted colored hair. Some breeds excel at different activities than others but every breed, size and shape of horse is wonderful and has something to offer every person. As a professional dressage trainer, my favorite breeds are Andalusians, Lipizzans and Hanoverians because of their intelligence and aptitude for my sport.
A rider that enjoys jumping fences might prefer a Thoroughbred because of their long legs and stamina. No breed or color of horse is better than another and in my opinion, every equine is a blessing.
