Hello again readers! As the winter season is coming to a close our schedule at the barn is starting to get pretty full. I have booked a few clinics to be held this spring, and we are all very excited to learn something new. If you don’t know exactly what a clinic is, you’re probably not alone. A riding instructor is someone that teaches students how to ride horses. A clinician is much of the same but is a visitor to the barn and often, a visitor to the area.
The benefits of having a clinic at the barn, whether you are just watching or actively participating, is that you can gather new information and get some fresh ideas on how to enhance your horsemanship skills. The visiting instructor is often not privy to you and your horse’s history, so you will also receive honest and unbiased opinions. Working with a local instructor on a regular basis is very important so that you can work safely on and around horses but clinics are fun too! So, if you see one being advertised, don’t be shy, jump on in!
