WAXHAW, NC – With the increasing number of doodle dogs in the Ballantyne area, it was only a matter of time before they got an event to call their own! This trend of doodle domination is not exclusive to the Ballantyne area, according to rover.com “doodle” ownership has doubled in the U.S. since 2019. The Goldendoodle has made the most serious gains in popularity over the last few years, jumping up in ranking from number nine in 2020 to the top five in 2021.
Oodles of Doodles is free fun for all doods and furiends. Participate in our Pup Parade, meet and greet with Paw Patrol, take a grooming class, go crazy with our bounce house & kid zone activities, enjoy live music and other amazing entertainers from our main stage, try a selection of delicious food and beer and MORE!
“My vision for Oodles of Doodles was to celebrate the awesomeness of doodle dogs! They have a goofy, playful, fun energy that has made them incredibly popular. I also wanted to create a festival that would give an amazing experience for humans and their fur babies to enjoy together. Beyond all the fun, I am excited to be educating people on the specific needs of having a doodle as well as helping support rescue groups and raise money for our Veterinary Care Charitable Fund,” says Stephen Bonilla, Hospital Administrator of Passionate Paws Animal Hospital and Founder of Oodles of Doodles.
