CHARLOTTE – We are less than one month from the 5th Anniversary of South Charlotte’s premier pet friendly event, Pups ’N Pints! The event is being held again in Downtown Waxhaw on Saturday, September 24 and promises to be bigger than ever. From Noon-5pm the street in front and behind Mary O’Neill’s and the gravel lot by the Water Tower will be transformed into a paw-ty with dozens of vendors, food trucks, beer, live music, children’s activities, and more! This year, more than ever, it’s essential for this event to bring crowds to help raise money for South Charlotte Dog Rescue’s emergency medical fund.
As the President of South Charlotte Dog Rescue, Danielle Spuler, elaborates, “The rescue groups and shelters around Charlotte are at or near capacity with surrendered dogs. It’s become a critical issue for many groups, including our rescue. We are doing all we can to raise awareness and funds so we can rise to the challenge and care for all of the amazing dogs that need our help. Pups ’N Pints is one of our largest events of the year and one of the biggest fundraising avenues for our efforts. We are hopeful for large crowds and donations this year. We are also incredibly thankful for the support of our community, vendors, sponsors, and volunteers who help make this event happen each year.”
