The Truth About Doods and Grooming

CHARLOTTE, NC – You may be one of the many who have been thinking of getting a doodle dog because of their  low maintenance reputation regarding their coats. They appear to not shed and create the  mountains of dog hair that many pet parents must clean up on a regular basis. The reality is  that doodles do shed but not in the same way as other breeds. Predominantly among the varieties that have tightly curled coats, when they “shed” the hair does not spread around your  home but actually becomes trapped inside their coat. So, with this benefit of not shedding their  hair around your house, comes the added responsibility of helping them get rid of the trapped  hair. This requires an almost daily commitment from pet parents to brush and groom their doods.
