Basketball:
Maddie Dillinger and Lillian Anderson combined for 26 points and 14 rebounds in a blowout win over Central Academy recently. Teammate Trinity Cherry-Brown contributed 10 points in the 56-17 victory.
Lillian Anderson – The junior scored a game high 22 points against Indian Land Friday night. She is averaging 12.4 points per game, while Maddie Dillinger 11.8 for the Lady Cavaliers.
Football:
Chris Panko – The Cavaliers safety will receive the 2018 Luke Kuechly Defensive Player of the Year Award from the Charlotte Touchdown Club. He led his team in tackles with 127 this past season and has accumulated 254 in his career.

Basketball:
Garrett Bohannan – The senior scored 19 points in a recent win against South Mecklenburg. He is averaging 20 points per game during the first four games of the season.
Jeff McInnis – The 6’2″ senior complements his teammate well and has contributed consistently averaging 11.8 points per contest along with 5 rebounds, 5 assists per game.
Sun Valley Spartans
Basketball:
Teshaun Walker – the junior guard for the Spartans is averaging 13.0 points per game with 1.7 rebounds and 3.0 assists and 1.0 steals in 3 games played this season.
Michael Grovanz – Recently the junior forward scored 13 points for the Spartans. He is averaging 8.0 points per game with 3.3 rebounds and 1.9 assists in the 3 games played.
Weddington Warriors
Basketball:
Brock Bowen – The sophomore poured in 12 and 15 points respectively in the Warriors two most recent wins.
Chris Killings – The senior scored 11 and 10 points recently in the two Warrior victories.
Chase Lowe – The freshman racked up 16 points and 9 rebounds against West Mecklenburg.
Football:
James Shipley – The straight A student will receive the 2018 Student-Athlete of the Year Award at the Charlotte Touchdown Club.
Max Brimigion – The senior caught two touchdown passes in the Warriors big win over Watauga in the third round of the 3AA State Championship Playoffs.
Will Shipley – Rushed for three touchdowns of 10, 11 and 2 yards in the blowout win. The running back also rushed for 166 yards on 19 attempts.
Wayne Dixie – The running back added another touchdown with a 19 yard scamper into the end zone for the Warriors. He also rushed for 131 yards on 20 attempts.
Porter Ridge Pirates
Football:
Grayson McCall – The senior QB for the Pirates stepped up his game when his two starting running backs went down with injuries including Jaylen Coleman. He led the Pirates to a third round victory over West Mecklenburg in the 4A State Championship playoffs. He rushed for 156 yards and scored 5 touchdowns on runs of 18, 6, 20, 6 and 2 yards while accumulating 512 yards of total offense in the win. The Pirates now move on to the West Regional Championship game in the final four.
