It’s been almost exactly one year since the COVID-19 Pandemic turned our world upside-down. One year ago, our President wrote,
“We are all part of a very special community. Union County’s history includes challenges of all kinds – wars, community divides, economic challenges, and more. Yet today Union County is a community of choice for new residents and businesses because of the wonderful quality of life and sense of community found here. Our diversity and love of community are our strengths.”
Since those words were written, we’ve faced many challenges as a community and we’ve proven that the words are more true than ever.
We’ve worn our masks to protect others. We’ve stayed home as much as possible, yet continued to support local businesses in new and creative ways. Our community has remained strong amidst these changes and challenges.
Businesses of all sizes have had to adapt – from finding PPE to making it in an effort to support others to extended and extensive cleaning to staying updated on restrictions – all while keeping employees and our community as safe as possible.
As we look to the future, we see the light at the end of this long tunnel. As a community, we should be proud of how we’ve stuck together during difficult times. We are proud to call ourselves YOUR Chamber and we look forward to serving all of you in the days to come.
