As 2018 comes to a close, let’s look back on the biggest moments in social media.



Remember the tide pod challenge? Yeah, I’d rather forget too.

Net Neutrality was overturned…and then late in the year upheld by a federal court

The #MeToo movement started and the talk around sexual harassment has gotten much louder, for better and for worse sometimes.

Wendy’s gave the ultimate roast with the burger tweet heard around the world, to make fun of IHOP.

Nike stirred up controversy with their ad featuring Colin Kaepernick.

The Royal Family had a big year with a new baby born to Prince William and his wife, Kate Middleton, while Prince Harry got married to Megan Markle while the world watched.

Facebook and Instagram stories were the fastest growing type of content this year. Instagram’s shoppable stories were especially popular.
