701 Main Restaurant is gearing up to celebrate their One Year Anniversary in Waxhaw, NC. This popular local restaurant specializes in a combination of delicious American classics and Greek food. Maria Hantzos, a manager at 701 Main explains, “We offer a wide variety of sandwiches, steaks, seafood, pastas and have certain feature foods that highlight our Greek background. Some Greek dishes include Mousaka, Pastitchio, saganaki, spanakopita, Gyro, and a plethora of seasonings that are used in our marinades.” Open every day for lunch and dinner, 701 Main is also open for weekend brunch starting at 9 am. Their customer base encompasses everyone: families young and old, girl’s night out, after church brunch, and everyone in between. They also have private dining rooms that are available for receptions, rehearsal dinners, and group outings of almost any size. And while they will certainly work with you to make your party come to life, 701 Main truly considers themselves to be a family oriented restaurant. After all, it is run by the Hantzos family: Tom and Georgia Hantzos, with sons-in-law Giannis and Jimmy, and daughters in laws Maria, Angie, and Cathy. They all pitch in to make sure that everything goes smoothly and remains a place that will bring you back again and again. They offer booth and table seating, as well as a full service bar. Serving beer, wine, and liquor, the full menu is available at the bar as well. There is also a patio with tables and umbrellas that offers seasonal seating outside.
On November 8th, 2017, they opened in Waxhaw because “the area exhibits family and community, and that’s what we’re about.” This year, they will be celebrating from Thursday, November 8th until Saturday, November 10th. “We’ll be serving complimentary appetizers and desserts all weekend in honor of our one year anniversary! We’re glad to be a part of this wonderful community and want to give Waxhaw and the surrounding area a small token of our appreciation, via delicious appetizers and desserts!” Some restrictions do apply but make sure to stop by to find out how to enjoy this special treat. There will be a Ribbon Cutting Ceremony at the restaurant with the Union County NC Chamber of Commerce at 10:30 am on Thursday, November 8th, 2018 to celebrate their anniversary.
701 Main offers daily specials for food and drinks. Currently they have a rotating menu for lunch specials but will soon be releasing a lunch specific menu that incorporates many of the specials into the daily lunch menu. Current daily specials include: Mondays: $7 Burger and $6 Moscow Mules; Tuesdays: $4 Draft Beers; Wednesday: $5 House Wines; Thursday: $6 House Martini; Friday & Saturday: $5 House Margaritas; and Sunday: $5 Bloody Mary’s and Mimosas.
