Big News For The Waxhaw Farmers Market

WAXHAW, NC – The current lot has been for sale since we moved there in August of 2019. I just received the official word Friday it sold but not to worry because we were proactively looking for alternative land in case this happened.

We’re excited to share we’re moving across the street from us on 2.4 acres that’s owned by Gary Summerfield.

We signed a long-term lease last week and couldn’t be happier and more grateful to Mr. Summerfield!  It’s perfect for the market. The lot sits higher, has better visibility and it’s drier!  We love being on Waxhaw Parkway and are thankful that we can continue to be on acreage, have a backdrop of trees and room to grow. Feels like a farmer’s market space – lucky us!!

Our groundskeeper and volunteer, Larry Hook, has been working on the land to prepare it for the market. This week we moved the market shed and laid gravel and mulch thanks to Hook Towing (shed move) Gregger’s Grading (gravel) and Potters Farm (tractor).

The move date should be within 2 weeks.  Our market is full speed ahead and so looking forward to a wonderful year of bringing you and our customer’s fresh local foods produced by the grower, rancher, farmer, baker, and artisan.

Many thanks for your valued support!
