Construction for the Town of Waxhaw Town Campus project, located at 4220 Waxhaw-Marvin Road, officially began in mid-November. Two years ago, the Town of Waxhaw identified and funded 27 different capital improvement projects to help accommodate this growth. These are major projects that are part of Waxhaw’s Capital Improvement Plan (CIP). The CIP helps to ensure the town has the equipment and infrastructure necessary to serve its citizens. Of these 27 identified projects, eight are now fully complete with five more being near completion.
The Town Campus will accommodate the town’s operational needs to keep up with service demand while also planning for future operations and services. With room for the expansion of the future Town Hall and the Public Services / Parks and Recreation Operations Center, this location also has an area preserved for a future building site as additional needs develop over time.
Southern Builders and ADW Architects are working with the town on this project, and the project is still expected to be completed in a total of 18 months. Once the clearing of the site is complete, the next step will be to install erosion control measures at the site. For more updates on the progress of the Town Campus project or other Capital Improvement Plan projects, visit https://www.waxhaw.com/cip
