UNION COUNTY, NC – A recent donation was made to Winchester Head Start by the Democratic Women of Union County (DWUC) in honor of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Day of Service (January 18, 2021). Members of DWUC who were present to deliver 20 Smart Tablets for use by the 4-year-olds were Cynthia Baez, Tiffany Wilson, and Patricia Kindley. The items will be used by the preschoolers at the Winchester Avenue Center program site and were received by Center Director Shanode Williams, Site Manager Natasha Brown, and Teacher Christa Strawn.
