DreamChaser’s Brewery in Waxhaw, N.C. recently won two medals at the 2017 Open Beer Championship. Winning a gold medal for their Yard Breather in the new East Coast IPA category, Neil Gimmon, owner, was very excited about this particular win.

“We are the first ever winner in the East Coast IPA category,” Gimmon said.

They also collected a bronze medal for their Red Rider in the Imperial Red Ale category. In October, he will have four entries in the Great American Beer Festival, a national beer competition set in Colorado, with great hopes for a few more medals.

They spent Monday, July 17, 2017 canning their Gold Medal Winner Yard Breather as well as their Coconut Yard Breather with American Beauty. A mobile canning system owned by Wray Dybal from Apex, N.C. did the work. This was American Beauty and DreamChaser’s Brewery third canning together. Yard Breather went on sale on Tuesday at the brewery as well as through distributors.

The Coconut Yard Breather label is still pending distribution approval but will be available at the brewery.  Both versions of the beer will be sold in four-packs of cans until they sell out.  The rest of DreamChaser’s Brewery’s tap selection will also be available.
