Elegant Brows offers threading, waxing, facials, tinting, eyelash extensions, and henna tattoos in the new shopping center in front of the Harris Teeter at Providence Rd and Kensington Rd in Waxhaw. Just opened in July, Rupal Patel and Madhavi Vachhani have partnered together again to open another successful beauty establishment featuring new and old techniques. They met and opened the first Elegant Brows in Shelby Twp, MI over five years ago. When they both decided to move their families to North Carolina and chose Waxhaw as their new home town, they also started looking at locations for a new shop. They finally settled on their current site due to the central location and good foot traffic in the area.
Patel explains that there are several benefits to threading. Threading is much healthier for the skin than waxing and it creates no ingrown hairs. It is suitable for all skin types, even those too sensitive for laser hair removal or waxing. Threading is chemical free and lasts longer than waxing. Finally, and most importantly, threading is more precise and you can remove the shortest hairs with thread that waxing often misses. Around here, she says, people don’t know much about threading and they are more comfortable with waxing but she and Vachhani are working to educate their clients about the benefits of threading. And many clients do try threading for the first time at Elegant Brows and fall in love with it.
Patel and Vachhani both have an Esthetician Licenses and Patel learned how to thread and give facials back when she was still in India. They offer different facials including for rejuvenation and anti-aging and will work with you to create a custom facial to help you with your problem areas. While you will feel improved after your first facial, Patel recommends coming in monthly to keep up the routine and see the full benefits.
For clients who are looking forward to summer, Elegant Brows offers full body waxing including bikini and Brazilian waxes. They also offer henna tattoos where an organic henna is used to draw decorations directly onto skin that can last up to 4 weeks. Patel mentions that henna tattoos look great with bathing suits and are a non-permanent way to have some fun. They can also host birthday parties and baby showers featuring henna tattoos.
If you are looking to expand your lashes, Elegant Brows can take care of that too! They offer mink extensions, as well as individual lash extensions. They use and sell Derma Logic oil free mascara and lash cleanser to help preserve your new lashes. In the future, Patel hopes to add lash lifting and micro blading to their services. Elegant Brows accepts walk-in and takes appointments.
