INDIAN LAND, SC – South Charlotte provides a new premier storage option for motor enthusiasts.  The completed garage condos have already been sold out.  However, more units are being constructed as there is high demand in the area.  Monte Carlo Garage Suites’ arrival provides this opportunity for a luxury car collecting community long under-served.

Conveniently located at 8461 Possum Hollow Road in Indian Land, SC, Monte Carlo specializes in providing luxury garage space for owners of high-end cars, boats, RVs and more.  Designed with safety, comfort, and architectural taste in mind, sales director John Looney has helped run this new location, proffering a community-driven space for motor enthusiasts to share in a similar interest-driven camaraderie.

John’s generational bloodline runs deep with an affection for vehicles, having grown up in the 60s and 70s with an interest in muscle cars when his father would take him to drag racing events.  In fact, John had a 1970 Buick Gran Sport decked out in his high school colors.  However, after getting in a wreck, they had to sell his car in 1973.  He eventually found it and bought it back.  John knows how intangible some things can be.  For most, cars are more than transportation vehicles.  They are something tied to your past.  They are part of your identity.  They are meant to be maintained so that they can be enjoyed for as long as possible.  And that’s where Indian Land’s Monte Carlo steps in.

Currently, units range from 808 to 1,287 square feet, and garages can be combined to create a vehicle owner’s customized layout.  Options are available for renting and/or buying.  As more condos are constructed and building materials continue to increase in price, the earlier a buyer or renter jumps on board, the more cost-efficient the decision.

That being said, if car collectors are interested in finding a new and customizable space for their rides, there are two buildings under construction and available soon:  LeMans Garage in Building 3-C and Daytona Garages in Building 7-G.

Those interested in reserving Monte Carlo’s latest available units are welcome to either fill out the online comment form or stop by to check out the model garage and other available options in person.

For those who are more inclined for a visual presentation, a cool new video can be found on YouTube or the Monte Carlo website:  www.MonteCarloGarage.com, featuring several high-end vehicles and condo specs.

This man cave layout is an available feature.

Brad Bowman, Monte Carlo Garage’s Suites’ property manager, estimates that all condos will be completed by 2023 with a target of 100-130 total garages.  Given the demographics and demand of the area, he does expect units to be readily spoken for by potential customers.

Monte Carlo promotes several private events that have been held at their location.  Ferrari came down to release one of their newer models.  The company has also hosted the Queen City Corvette Club and has held a Toys for Tots drive over Christmas.  In this way, they are able to give back to the community by contributing their knowledge and passion for automobiles, making it fun for everyone involved and promoting charity work.

The notion of garage condos has been around for quite some time (nearly 20 years by some estimates) but they have not been readily available in all major cities.  After visiting several facilities around the country, Brad gained inspiration of what the best luxury garages have done and brought it back to the South Charlotte area, offering collectors and hobbyists many amenities.

Some of these features include:

  • 24 hour gated access, controlled through either card keys, fobs, or smart phones
  • Garage door with opener
  • 18’ tall ceilings
  • Mezzanine options for a personal man cave design and layout
  • Individual HVAC systems

Upgrade options include:

  • Floor with epoxy finish
  • Finished restrooms
  • Wet bar
  • Loft area

If you have never been involved in car collecting and would like to learn more, it’s always a good idea to visit car shows and speak to owners of vehicles you are interested in owning.  Charlotte has a constant influx of car shows where enthusiasts would be glad to share their experience and knowledge.  Waxhaw Coffee Cruisers and Charlotte Cars and Coffee are just two clubs near the Charlotte and Indian Land area who share a wealth of knowledge and friendly community.
