WAXHAW, NC – Nancy McCoy Duncan, who has been a dedicated Union County Chamber of Commerce employee for over 15 years, has announced her retirement date of September 15, 2020. McCoy Duncan is currently the Director of Business Development and an integral member of the Chamber team. McCoy Duncan also serves as Treasurer and is a 14+ year member of the Rotary Club of Waxhaw-Weddington.

Pat Kahle, President of the Union County Chamber of Commerce, said, “Nancy has been a champion for this Chamber, our members, and our community for almost 15 years. She has been an integral member of the Chamber Team in her role as Director of Business Development. During her tenure our chamber membership grew, sponsorship opportunities were enhanced, and our members received excellent counsel. Nancy has been an advocate for the Chamber, a cheerleader for our members and staff, and a friend to all she meets.”
“As you may know, Nancy is an artist, photographer, and writer,” Kahle coninues. “She is looking forward to having more time to spend pursuing those talents. Nancy’s husband Scott retired from USPS earlier this year, which may allow more time for travel, especially to visit their son Carter, who lives in Texas, and maybe a bucket-list trip to Scotland.”

Kahle finishes with what she will miss the most about McCoy Duncan in the office. “There are so many things,” says Kahle. “First, her sense of humor. Nancy has a naturally bubbly personality, a bit of a quirky sense of humor, and loves to laugh as well as make others laugh. She is a cheerleader for our team and always the optimist. I will miss her positive energy. Second, Nancy is a kind person who has empathy for others. She genuinely cares for other people, and it shows in all she does.”
The Tri-W News and everyone in the Union County area wish Nancy McCoy Duncan joy and happiness in her new adventures!
