On May 17 and June 7, Novant Health will host special interview days to help recruit nurses for the new Novant Health Mint Hill Medical Center.
The May 17 open interview day will run from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Arlington Baptist Church at 9801 Arlington Church Road in Mint Hill.
The June 7 interview day will be held 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Novant Health Talent Acquisition at 108 Providence Road, Suite 108 in Charlotte.
“We are in need of over 100 nurses,” Tammy Brooks, the chief nursing officer for Novant Health Mint Hill Medical Center, said.
According to fliers for the nurse open interview days, opportunities are available for nurses in critical care, women’s services, surgical services, emergency services and medical surgical.
They are currently looking for experienced nurses for the hospital. Those interested in applying for and learning more about the available positions as well as those who have already applied online, are welcome to come to one of the interview days. During both days, Novant Health nursing leaders will interview interested applicants, Brooks said.
“Anyone who has already applied online, our HR (department) is reaching out to them to schedule an appointment on the (May) 17th. We’ll also be taking people who may have just heard of it, moved to the area, or maybe they’re in town and found out we’re doing interviews and they can just walk in with their resumes on May 17 and be interviewed,” she said.
There will be around 10 different interview stations set up on interview days for interested applicants. They are looking to have nurses for the new hospital hired by the end of July, Brooks said.
Those who are not able to make it to either of the interview days can still apply for the open nursing positions as well as other positions on the Novant Health Careers website at novanthealth.org/careers. On that site, people can click on the view all careers option and then click specifically on the Mint Hill Medical Center tab to see the available career opportunities.
