On Thursday, June 14, 2018, Uptown Tea Shop and Art Box Ceramics and Canvas hosted Paint and Tea Night inside of Eight Legs Gallery in Waxhaw, NC.  This was the fourth event that Dani Noto, owner of Uptown Tea Shop, and Kristen Mitchell, owner of Art Box Ceramics and Canvas, have hosted together.  Mitchell explained, “This is our 4th event and it grows each time. We have the ability to get even bigger too!” The night included a 16 oz cup of participant’s choice of tea, chocolate covered strawberries, scones, and other snacks, as well as participant’s choice of what to paint.  Tea mugs, saucers, and tea jars were available to paint, although participants were able to choose any item in stock at Art Box.  Noto added, “We have so much fun doing this! It’s so entertaining to have the ladies in to paint with good food and tea. It’s a fabulous ladies night out. Also, it’s an excellent chance to try a new tea since they can try any in the store and they are more than welcome to buy some of their new favorite tea to take home too. The next event is in August and is designed as a Mother Daughter event. We are available to host private groups so if someone wants to grab four or more friends, we’ll do a special event for them with tea and scones and more.”
