WAXHAW, NC – Peter Bitting received his Eagle Scout Award at a ceremony on November 1 at Waxhaw United Methodist Church.  For his Eagle Scout Project, Peter led a team to build wooden benches for the Messiah Lutheran Church Preschool playground in Charlotte.  Peter is a member of Scout Troop 53 and has been part of Scouts since 2010, starting as a Tiger Cub, then advancing into Boy Scouts, having fun while camping, and learning outdoor skills, leadership, and citizenship.
