WAXHAW, NC – Refresh Gift Shop, and Tri-W News are launching the “Buy a Bath Bomb, Give a Bath Bomb (or Soap!)” Project to benefit First Responders in the Waxhaw area. From Tuesday, May 19, until Saturday, May 23, Refresh Gift Shop and Tri-W News will match bath bomb and soap purchases by providing a complimentary bath bomb or soap to a first responder. It’s really that simple … for every bath bomb or soap purchased, Refresh Gift Shop and Tri-W News will donate a bath bomb or soap to our First Responders.

Selection of Soap
A big selection of soap and gifts are found at Refresh Gift Shop.

“We hope to have 5 big days of bath bomb and soaps sales, so we can really deliver big baskets of goodies to Waxhaw’s First Responders. As a small, family-owned business, we have been trying to think of something we could do to benefit the folks working so hard to keep our town safe. Our bath bombs and soaps are a shop favorite, so it just seemed like a fun match – hygienic and refreshing!” explains Refresh owner, Shannon Habenicht. “The Tri-W News supports our community daily, so it was great to be able to work with them on this project as well.” Habenicht has owned Refresh Gift Shop for over 2 years with her mom, Peggy Weisenberger. Peggy and her husband, John, moved their family to the area over 30 years ago. Shannon and her family settled back in Waxhaw about 8 years ago – both women couldn’t be happier to not only live but also work, here in town. The shop is located at 318 E. South Main Street across from The Mill on Main in Waxhaw.

Refresh offers several Bath Bomb and Soap scents including Lavender, French Vanilla Biscotti, Monkey Farts (smells like bananas!), Honeysuckle, Cool Water, and more. The shop has over 20 bath bombs scents and 40 soaps. The bath bombs and soaps raised through this project will be delivered to first responders at the Atrium Health Waxhaw Emergency Department, the Waxhaw Police Department, and Waxhaw Volunteer Fire Department.
