Growing up in Union County, he attended Metrolina Christian Academy, and after graduation went on to UNC Charlotte, where he earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Finance and Economics.
David shared that UNCC has one of the largest risk management and insurance class selections around. When he was there, he made sure to take full advantage of these courses and during that time became close to a professor in the department. As their relationship grew, he was asked one day after class, “David, what do you plan to do after graduation?” He had done so well in the classes and showed such an interest that the professor, along with David, knew that the insurance industry was where his future would blossom.
After graduation, David did just that. He entered the insurance industry as a claims adjustor specializing in auto and personal property, and he knew from this point on the goal would be to own and operate an insurance agency. As he worked for a few years in the claims department, he then decided to take the step to start selling insurance. He found great success in sales and had a true understanding of how to make the process for clients easy to understand and how to make sure that they were getting the right insurance for their needs. This is not something that every insurance agent has; it takes a special someone to be able to do this job and do it well. That was exactly what David was able to do and does.
Starting at the beginning of 2022, David finally was able to make his dream come true when he opened the doors to his insurance agency, Rogers Insurance Solutions. The support from his wonderful wife, Ashton, and their three beautiful children has made this possible. Ashton’s support during David’s career has been nothing short of amazing; if it was not for her love and support, and many sleepless nights, the couple would not have been able to accomplish the “goal.”
