WAXHAW, NC – There’s nothing quite like a piece of smooth, rich, melt-in-your-mouth fudge.  Debra Hanks, the owner, and creator of Iva Jean’s Fudge, takes great care in creating her creamy homemade fudge confections.  You’ll notice several delicious flavors of Iva Jean’s Fudge on display in Provisions just as you enter the store.  Store owner Ms. Lisa Vigil, or one of her associates, will be glad to advise you on a choice of flavors as well as gift ideas.  

Debra Hanks, a grandmother to nine grandchildren, learned to make fudge as a child standing in the kitchen alongside her mother, Iva Jean, for whom the company is named.  The first flavor she learned to make was peanut butter and chocolate, which continues to be a favorite among her customers today.  Ms. Hanks still uses her mother’s recipes and secrets to create the perfect pound of fudge.   While all of her 44 flavors are delicious, Iva Jean’s Fudge has three top sellers from their kitchen laboratory:  peanut butter and chocolate, brown-sugar bourbon, and chocolate-covered strawberry.  During the holiday season, her peppermint fudge is also a big hit. 

Iva Jean’s Fudge attends several pop-up vendor events throughout the year.  A favorite is the Nest Fest held in the Midland farm area of North Carolina.  She also attends several holiday pop-ups and will be participating in a virtual shopping experience through Southern Charm at the Farm.
