With springtime upon us, there’s no better way to welcome the warm weather than by refreshing and renewing your home, inside and out. We all know how time-consuming it can be to maintain a clean home. The effort that goes into it can be exhausting and leave you overwhelmed, thinking about when you’ll have time to clean. As we come out of winter hibernation, many are ready to go into cleaning mode. Opening up our windows to let in the fresh air but then realizing we can’t because the windows are dirty, the blinds are dusty or you go outside and notice that your house is green from algae. This would be the best time to call in for reinforcements and allow the professionals to get things started!

Borkas Cleaning is one-stop-shop for all your cleaning needs. They offer:

  • house cleaning – detailed and regular
  • steam carpet and upholstery cleaning
  • power washing
  • gutter cleaning
  • window cleaning

Borkas cleaning provides general house cleaning (regular weekly, biweekly or monthly) and thorough one-time detail cleaning whenever needed like when you’re moving in or out. This included wiping everything down, top to bottom, as well as steam carpet cleaning using truck-mounted equipment. And did you know that it is recommended to clean your carpet at least 1-2 times a year to keep your carpet clean and healthy? Steam cleaning penetrates deep into the fibers to lift out dirt and the majority of the pollutants we bring in on our shoes or feet. It is important to have it cleaned professionally if you have small kids or allergies.

If you want to focus on the outside they can help with that too. The more popular services that are needed after the fall/winter months have ended are gutter cleaning (debris accumulates), deck cleaning and/or staining (to get ready for outdoor entertaining), and power washing.

Established in 2002, Borkas Cleaning – a family-owned business – has been providing professional cleaning services to the Charlotte, Weddington, Matthews, Mint Hill, Fort Mill, South Carolina areas, as well as in their hometown of Waxhaw. Husband and wife team, Agata and Bogdan Rekas, have been a part of the Waxhaw community for over 13 years and are thrilled for the opportunity to continue growing their business here because “we get to meet new customers all around this great town and we love it!”

And it looks like their customers agree:

“He makes your carpets look brand new. I highly recommend Borkas Cleaning. I’ve used him for pressure washing my house, cleaning out gutters and carpet cleaning. Very good prices. ” ~Kim from Cureton, Waxhaw

“Had Bogdan come out and give a power wash. He did a wonderful job and the house looks like a shiny new penny! Would highly recommend him and a pleasure to work with!” ~Roslyn Katrowski

Borkas suggests that every household should always try to do at least a few things to help maintain their home now that spring has come:

  • Be sure to keep your showers clean. Spraying a little bit of Clorox on the edges goes a long way to help keep mold out. Otherwise, you may begin to see black mold form which will get behind the caulk, possibly causing the need to recaulk it.
  • Keep items organized and don’t allow for too much clutter. Get rid of, sell or donate items that you haven’t used in a while and organize what you have left. This not only frees your home of a mess but also removes that chaotic feeling when cleaning.
  • Dust blinds and baseboards – Don’t let dust build-up. It’s easy to use a Swiffer to dust it regularly
  • Dust floors and common areas. These high traffic areas can collect a lot of dust if left too often, especially when you have pets and during allergy season. Go ahead and dust your tables, shelves, etc. and then have Borkas come in to mop and vacuum…or let them handle it all!
