The Waxhaw storefront, located at 113 West South Main Street, is twice the size of the original Waxhaw Candle Company store located in the shopping centers at Blakeney.
A bigger store isn’t the only difference between the two locales. The Waxhaw site boasts all of the products and services that customers have come to love at their Blakeney store, while also showcasing an Apothecary Bar where customers can create candles, bath, beauty, and home products, making a trip to Waxhaw Candle Company a completely interactive experience! Walk-ins are encouraged and parties of 10 or more may reserve their spot using an online reservation system.
Located within walking distance of downtown restaurants, like Rethi Greek Kouzina and Capricci’s True Italian, Waxhaw Candle Company is sure to be a date night favorite. Couples can create a one-of-a-kind scented candle or bath and beauty product before dinner or after dessert to top off the night. Rebecca Walter has lived in Waxhaw for nearly twelve years and is proud to bring a company that is good to its employees and enhances the community to the heart of downtown. Ms. Walter has always enjoyed creating, even while working for over twenty years in the corporate world. When the opportunity arose to put her passion to practice in the town that she loves, she jumped at the chance. Starting as a vendor at the Waxhaw Farmer’s Market in 2015, Ms. Walter was able to launch her first store in the Blakeney Shopping Center in 2016. With the mandated closing of the store in Blakeney during the state COVID-19 regulations and the availability of the storefront in Waxhaw, it felt like things just fell into place.
Ms. Walter shared that the three most popular products sold at the Waxhaw Candle Company are two top-selling candles, “Hawaiian Sugar Cane” and “Fine Linen,” followed closely by her natural beauty products. With customers having the ability to create products using their favorite scents right in the store, everyone is sure to find a product they’ll love.
