Jessica Bowen is holding a five day Soft Ball Summer Camp starting on July 23/2018.

Jessica, is a well-known athlete and instructor, with more than two decades of extraordinary performances and experience in the field of softball and baseball; she has a passion for teaching the fundamentals, and is focused on building the right mechanics, a better understanding of the game, confidence, discipline and competitiveness, all in a relaxed, fun, yet instructional environment.

Jessica Bowen is ready to prepare a new generation of athletes in all aspects of the game; Pitching, Catching, Hitting, Fielding, Base running and Scenarios, and “UP Their Game One Day at A Time”. Keeping it Fundamental Camp is staffed by current and previous Collegiate Softball Players. On the last day of camp, parents have a special QA time, to get information and share the experiences.

The venue is Ultimate Performances Sports, another gem in the sports arena that just opened its door in March, 2018. The 37k climate controlled facility is located at 10404 E Independence Blvd, in Matthews, North Carolina, 28105. As a showstopper on its own, the state-of-the-art performance center is a welcoming site to any sport enthusiasts looking to maximize their sports performance and minimize injuries. Owned by Charlotte natives Chad Tracy and Chris Mattox, it is managed by retired Major League Baseball Player Chad Tracy. “ UP is a facility that features Travel Baseball and Softball Teams, turf and cage rentals, and performance training powered by Architech Sports.” Chad Tracy and his wife Katie created a one of a kind environment for any athlete looking for the ultimate place to train in the area. It is a child and adult friendly place, with rooms for parents to relax, and observe the sessions or shop for gear.

The collaboration between Jessica Bowen and Ultimate Performance Sports is producing substantial training at an amazing level in the game of Softball, with a summer special for children between 8 and 14 years old. One of the best features is the indoor training, in a properly ventilated and air-conditioned facility. Although the schedule is 9AM to 4 PM, early drop-off at 7AM is allowed for an additional fee. There will be time for lunch, thus parents must provide a healthy and nutritious meal.

If you are still not sure if Keeping-It-Fundamental-UP Your game Softball camp is right for your child here is what coach Bo’s clients and sport-professionals are sharing:

“Jessica addresses each client uniquely.  There’s no cookie cutter approach.  The growth that I’ve seen out of my daughter isn’t just about numbers and batting averages, but the confidence we’ve seen grow out of her time on and off the softball field.  Coach Bo isn’t there just to collect fees, she is personally invested in each one of her girls, and it shows.”-Josh Wells

“Jessica is one of a kind.  She’s tough as nails, yet has a heart so big for her clients.  She quickly becomes more than a coach as she is passionate not only about the game of Softball, but about each girl physically and emotionally.  My girls love the game more than they ever have because she’s built a confidence in them they’ve never experienced before.  Players come to Jess for lessons and they stay for years, that says a lot!” -Holly Stokes“

I have enjoyed watching Coach Bo inspire each and every kid that walks into her room. It is a pleasure to see the passion she has for the game” -Chad Tracy

Jessica Bowen Bio

Jessica Bowen has been in the world of softball and baseball for over 20 years.  As a standout for Butler High School, Jessica helped lead the Bulldogs to three consecutive NC 4A  state championships, earning all conference, all state, and still holds many titles.   Jessica continued her career at Wingate University where she started all 4 years and graduated with her Bachelors degree in science and minored in business.

That wasn’t enough for Jessica – she continued her career as both a hitting and pitching instructor for softball and baseball in Charlotte where she’s mentored young men and women who have gone on to play college ball at many D1 & D2 institutions.  She’s also coached for nationally ranked and recognized teams like Lady Lightening and Carolina Elite – playing against and beating the best in the nation.

Jessica is a fundamentals instructor that focuses on building the right mechanics in addition to developing the players feel and game intelligence making them into multi-dimensional, competitive, and confident players.  She teaches all positions and her workouts aren’t easy, but being the best isn’t about what’s easy, it’s about taking it “one day at a time” and becoming the best player you can be.
