INDIAN TRAIL, NC – On August 14, Carolina Courts in Indian Trail was the site of the Union County Back 2 School Bash.  This is the eighth year that Pastor Ireland has brought his congregation together along with many other local churches to provide for local children.  Each child who attended was provided with a new backpack, a new pair of shoes, and school supplies as noted by Union County schools.  This event helped between 3,500 and 4,000 children be prepared to go back to school.

Backpacks were divided by age group and had several different color or character choices.  Shoes were given out with socks after washing the kids’ feet.  Pastor Ireland explains, “We also want to provide a Christian outpouring of love to each child.  We wash their feet while telling them how Jesus did this to His disciples and how God has a purpose for their lives.  We then give them a brand new pair of shoes and have prayer with their entire family.”

“We are delighted with Carolina Courts to be able to have this event in and we are grateful to our sponsors!” added Pastor Ireland.  “We are so thankful for the area churches who came out to support this mission and all of the community support as well.  We are delighted to be able to serve the community like this.”
