WAXHAW, NC – The Village of Marvin is hosting its Inaugural Marvin Day Celebration on Saturday, May 21, 2022. This all-day celebration will begin with a 5K run, a one-mile Family Fun Run, and a Blood Drive and Health Fair. Our Marvin Efird Park location will include local artists and their works, NatureWalks, Pony Rides, and a Petting Zoo for the kids. Our park will also host a disc golf clinic at our newly designed 9-hole course and the Carolina Raptor Center will offer an exhibit and bird release.

Our residents and surrounding communities are invited to tour our new Village Hall, participate in self-guided garden tours from some of our very own residents, spend time remembering the past at our Classic Car Show event or enjoy an Equine Showcase at Cedarhill Farm. Residents may also choose to visit and tour Firethorne Country Club. The all-day event will conclude with a concert featuring Ryan Perry who is an Ashville Native and has been touring throughout the Southeast. Our evening will finish up with a Fireworks show for all to enjoy from the stands at Marvin RidgeHigh School Stadium immediately following the free concert.

“We have something for everyone so come and spend the day with your friends and neighbors and enjoy all the things we love about Marvin,” says Mayor Pro Tem Kim Vandenberg
