Town of Waxhaw residents can learn about the changes to trash and recycling collection services for the 2023-2024 Fiscal Year, which runs from July 2023 to June 2024, on the newly launched landing page: WaxhawTrashService.com
There is only one scheduling change for this year. The Lawson subdivision will be split into two areas, A and B, for recycling pick-ups; residents who live east and south of Cuthbertson Road will have their recycling collected on “A” weeks and residents living north and west of Cuthbertson Road will have recycling picked up on “B” weeks.
Also, this year is a change to the yard waste collection process. Yard waste will be collected on the same day as household waste, but only if placed in paper bags. These bags can be purchased for a nominal fee from Lowe’s, Home Depot, Wal-Mart, or Costco retailers.
Visit WaxhawTrashService.com to download the new trash and recycling calendar, review yard waste and bulk pick-up requirements, and request new trash service from WastePro.
“These changes will take effect on July 1, 2023, so we’re encouraging residents to visit waxhawtrashservices.com to learn more about their trash & recycling collection schedules,” said Jeff Wells, Waxhaw Town Manager.
Waxhaw residents can also request bulk trash collection from WastePro for a small fee. To request a bulk pick-up, please call 980-296-1126. Appliances, such as refrigerators, ovens, etc., and grills can be collected curbside, at no fee, by calling Waxhaw Public Services at 704-843-7439.
If residents have recently moved to or within Waxhaw town limits, they can request trash and recycling services by visiting WaxhawTrashService.com and completing the form at the bottom of the page.
