Waxhaw Autumn Treasures Draws Crowds and Local Artisans

Sweet Union in Indian trail. Travis caudle is the head brewer. They have American, English, and Belgian style beers and keep 12 of their own beers on tap at their brewery.

Patricia Dudley, from Waxhaw, NC creates an abstract acrylic painting at Eight Legs Gallery. “I show paintings at the Gallery so I’m out here painting to bring attention to the Gallery and art in general.”
Robyn Albaum, from Charlotte, came down to browse, visit Waxhaw, and be part of the fall festival. “Fall is my favorite season.” MaryAnn Usyk and Meghan Usyk are with The Karma of Wreaths from Waxhaw. She has only been doing it for about a year and this is MaryAnn’s first festival.
Created in the Carolinas Director, Mark Hague, is sculpting a pig in honor of the pig roast. “I taught art for 35 years and now I’m retired and can do my own art. My wife and relocated here from NY and we love Waxhaw. The community has such a down-home feel and is a real community. It’s exciting to begin this new relationship. “
Up Level Martial Arts, located in Waxhaw. Matthew is practicing with nunchucks and has been doing martial arts for 2 months.

Sheila Smart currently from Marvin Creek, NC is from Jamaica and NY. “I write inspirational Christian books for children and adults. I have 7 title out now and three to come.”
(L) Savannah Cotton, from Waxhaw and (R) Pearle Kendrick from Waxhaw are painting tiles at Eight Legs Gallery. Pearle says, “I really enjoyed painting tiles. It’s a really imaginative idea.”
