Waxhaw Fire Department Swears In New Members

WAXHAW, NC – On Tuesday, January 10, the Waxhaw Fire Department swore in three new members. Peter Brock, Sean Knox, and Andrew Lucas recently finished training with the Monroe Fire Academy.

Chief Sharpe shares, “They attended the most recent Monroe Fire Academy and Firefighter (FF) Peter Brock has been assigned to B – Shift, and FF Knox and FF Lucas have been assigned to our Firefighter Apprentice Program.”



Chief Sharpe continued, “The apprentices are fully certified, permanent part-time firefighters who are in line to move into a full-time role when one opens. These members are scheduled for 33 hours a week, receive benefits, and help to cover our weekend shifts.”
