Weddington UPS Store gears up for Holiday rush

With the holidays right around the corner, it seems only logical to highlight the long-standing UPS store for all your printing, packaging and mailing needs.  Located at 13663 Providence Road, where it intersects with Route 84 for the past 21-plus years, this is the perfect pit stop to both send out those expertly picked gifts, or alternatively, return the well-intended misses as we go through the holiday season.

Originally owned and operated by Navin Amin as a Mailboxes Etc., it was purchased by UPS to become what is now known as The UPS Store. Amin recognized long ago the need for this service in the Tri-W area.  And now co-owned with Jay Patel, who also runs The UPS Store in Blakeney, Amin continues to expand his service offerings to provide even more value to his customers.

Store manager for the last two years, Jason Newman, says, “We are a one-stop shop.  You can ship out all your packages, make business cards…we can even design and print.”

Their partnership with the Blakeney location enables both stores to leverage a graphic designer for all sorts of printing needs, as they arise.  Existing services include passport photos, large-format printing, rental computer stations, packaging and shipping, moving supplies, greeting cards, and on-site notary signings.

In addition, they’ve recently rebuilt their whole large-format printing machine to better tackle a variety of unique project needs, such as posters, topography maps, and blueprints to name a few.  The new machine will enable prints up to 36 inches wide and indefinite length.  And so long as a file is set up and ready to go, electronically, they can typically turn it around within 15 minutes!

Business will start to pick up here the week before Thanksgiving on into the new year.  So whether you’ve got projects to print or packages to send, their location, being en route to Ballantyne and points beyond, couldn’t be more convenient.
