This Thursday night at 7 pm we will be hosting a Facebook Live session to announce the 2020 recipient of the $5,000 GROW grant! Last year, we hosted a surprise reception with food and balloons for the 2019 recipient school, Western Union Elementary. This year, however, because of our present quarantined circumstances, we must host a different kind of party. Thankfully, with modern technology, we can still all join in the good news together. (We will miss hearing your cheers and seeing your happy faces!)

Last year’s GROW grant project, “Outdoor Classroom” was a huge success and many community groups joined in the effort to refurbish a neglected green space at Western Union Elementary. Those groups included Elevation Church, Out Teach, Waxhaw Weddington Rotary Club, and the school’s own PTO.

We can’t wait to see the ways in which this year’s project with grow the community of the 2020 recipient school!
