WAXHAW, NC – Thames Farm, located in Fort Lawn, South Carolina, is a beautiful pasture-based farm that Berkshire hogs, chickens, and cows call home.  Owned by Amy Thames, the farm was purchased back in 1989 but didn’t start working as a pasture-based farm until 2013 when Amy was looking for options for the more commercially-run farming industry.  Thames Farm began as a means for Amy to provide quality meats and eggs for her family, friends, and neighbors.  There is a farm store on-site where customers can choose from a variety of fresh, wholesome products.

Thames Farm produces pork brat sausages in 12 flavors, chicken sausage breakfast patties, and spinach, garlic, and asiago chicken sausage, all of which are available at Provisions, located at 107 W. South Main Street in downtown Waxhaw.  The brats are perfect by themselves, sauteed into soups and stews, or crumbled and used in spaghetti sauce.  Top sellers include jalapeno and cheese sausage, Armor Artis (a local brewery) beer sausage, and John Boy Billy Barbecue Sauce infused flavors.  Coming soon, Thames Farm will be adding a Cajun Chicken Sausage using White Wolf’ Rub’s Cajun Red Wolf Rub.

Thames Farm hosts monthly Farm Days where the public is welcome to tour the farm, ask questions, meet the animals, and buy from local artisans.  There is a food truck on-site for these events as well.  For more information on Thames Farm or to order products, please visit them on the web at thamesfarm.com or follow them on Facebook at Thames Farm.
