Cuthbertson Cavaliers

Football: 



Davis Walker – The senior completed 18-36 passes for 255 yards.  He averaged 14.2 yards per pass completion, tossed one touchdown with a QB rating of 70.9.

Jay Rector – The sophomore wide receiver had 8 receptions for 75 yards.  He picked up 40 yards on kick returns and contributed 18 yards for punt returns.  He had a total of 140 all-purpose  yards.  On defense senior Chris Panko had 13 tackles and sophomore Kyler Johnson 10.

Marvin Ridge Mavericks

Football: 

Jake Cameron – The Mavericks senior QB completed 27-48 passes for 274 yards, 4 touchdowns, .562 completion percentage, averaged 10.1 yards per pass reception, longest completion 35 yards, had a 91.8 quarterback rating.

Sean Brown: The senior wide receiver had 9 receptions for 108 yards including 4 touchdowns with his longest of 35 yards.  Sean averaged 12.0 yards per catch.  Will Smith lead the defense with 13 tackles, 7 solo and 6 assisted.

Parkwood Rebels: 

Daniel Morrison – In three games reported the 6’2″ 220 pound DE has made 26 solo and 25 assisted tackles for a total of 51, while averaging 17.0 per game for the Rebels.

Sun Valley Spartans

Football: 

Sam Howell – The senior QB compiled a total of 540 all-purpose yards in the win over  Porter Ridge.  Passing Howell threw for 440 yards and rushing 100 yards for a combined 4 TD’s to lead the Spartans to their sixth straight consecutive victory over their rival.

Gavin Blackwell – The sophomore wide receiver made a significant contribution by catching four passes totaling 188 yards and 3 touchdowns for the Spartans.

Weddington Warriors: 

Football: 

Will Shipley – The sophomore running back was named the UCHSF Player of the Week for Week 3 with his solid effort in a recent win against Porter Ridge.  Shipley rushed for 81 yards and 1 TD while catching 2 receptions for 36 yards and 1 TD.

Soccer: 

Colin Price – In four games reported the senior leader who stands out for the Warriors has scored 5 goals and contributed 2 assists for a total of 12 points while averaging 3.0 points per game in the early going of the season.

Volleyball: 

Corinne Parsons – The senior has accumulated 9 blocks defensively, while attacking vigorously with 42 kills, averaging 10.5 Kill shots, has made 102 scoring attempts with only 16 errors for the Lady Warriors.

Miranda Powers – The junior server has a 10.6% ace percentage, on 66 serves with only 6 serve errors for a 90.9% serve percentage rate wile accumulating 37 points.  Junior teammate Alyson Michael has an ace % of 18.8% on 48 serves with 7 serve errors and 27 points.
