The 2017 Parkwood High School girls’ softball team received their state championship rings during a ceremony at the Rebels football game on Sept. 8. Parkwood won the Class 2A State Championship last spring when they defeated South Granville 2-1 in the best-of-3 championship series. Parkwood finished 27-3 overall and 10-0 in the Rocky River Conference under first-year head coach Tim Speakman. Parkwood is now a Class 3A school and they will compete in the Southern Carolina Conference during the 2018 season. (Photo by Rick Becker).
