Cuthbertson Cavaliers

Baseball:



Ben Gilks – The senior after 26 games batting average is .387, 29 hits, 22, RBI’s, 6 doubles, 1 home run, 6 stolen bases, fielding .995, OPS 1.022 for the Cavaliers.

Men’s Lacrosse: 

Trey Monticello – The sophomore has 32 goals, 9 assists for 41 points.  He has taken 80 shots on goal this season.

Craig Curtis – The senior leader has 32 goals, 12 assists for 44 points.  He has taken 69 shots on goal for a shooting percentage of .463.  He also has fielded 41 ground balls for the Cavaliers.

Marvin Ridge Mavericks 

Men’s Lacrosse: 

In a recent game against West Guilford the Mavericks overwhelmed their opponent lead by a core group of seniors.  Cam Renner scored 4 goals, added 2 assists for 6 points, Adam Francischiello had 2 goals, 3 assists and 5 points, Ben Lyon punched in 2 goals, 2 assists on 4 points including fielding 4 ground balls.  Aidan Lassiter netted 3 goals, 1 assist earning 4 points plus 2 ground balls.

Parkwood Rebels

Softball: 

The number 1 ranked 3A team in the state continues to roll with a 10-0 shutout over Marvin Ridge the number 9 ranked team.  Caroline Ruth improved her record to 13-0, ERA 0.50, added 3 more strikeouts to 156 against only 7 walks all season.  She pitched 5 scoreless innings giving up only two hits.  Allie Griffin went 3-3 with 2 RBI’s, Ruth helped herself with 3 RBI’s, and Mary Pierce Barnes 2-3 with 1 RBI.  The Lady Rebels are now 20-0 overall, and 14-0 in conference competition.

Sun Valley Spartans

Baseball: 

Sam Howell – The junior in 26 games has attained a .417 batting average, 14 runs, 35 hits, 32 RBI’s. 10 doubles, 2 home runs, OPS 1.058, Fielding .956 with 3 stolen bases for the Spartans.

Caleb Bruce – The senior in his last campaign has a solid .417 batting average, 24 runs, 35 hits, 12 RBI’s, 6 doubles, 2 triples, OPS .996, Fielding .962 with 4 stolen bases along with providing senior leadership.

Weddington Warriors

Men’s Lacrosse: 

Anthony Todaro – The sophomore standout scored 4 goals, added 3 assists for 7 points.  He only took four shots on goal and his accuracy is outstanding as he netted all four shots for a 1.000% shooting average.  The Warrior also picked up one ground ball in the match against Hickory recently.   

Soccer: 

Kaelee Van Gundy – The Warriors senior team leader has accumulated 24 goals, 9 assists and 57 points while averaging 3.8 points per game for the soccer team this season in 15 games played.
