Marvin Ridge High School Mavericks

Men’s Lacrosse: 



Will Canta: The junior has 9 goals on 12 shots for a .750 shooting percentage and 2 assists for 11 points.

Cam Renner: The senior midfielder has 3 goals on 5 shots while contributing 8 large assists for 11 points early in the 2018 campaign.

Emmett Houlihan: The freshman is off to a good start in his high school debut with 3 goals on 10 shots.  He has accumulated 7 assists totaling 10 points.

Ben Lyon: Ben is a senior midfielder who has 6 goals and 2 assists for a total of 8 points.

Girls Softball: 

Ally Bigham: The sophomore is hitting .750 with 6 hits, 6 runs, 1 double and 1 RBI with a OBP .778, Slugging .875 off to a quick start for the Lady Mavericks.

Kelly Dobbs: The junior has a batting average of .571 with 4 hits, 3 runs, 1 double, 1 RBI with an OBP .571, Slugging .714.

Gabby Baylog: Gabby is hitting .444 with 4 hits, 3 runs, 2 doubles, 6 RBI’s with an OBP .444, Slugging .667.

Nicole Peiczarka: The senior has a .429 batting average, 3 hits, 3 runs, 1 double, 3 RBI’s with a .429 OBP, Slugging .571 in the early going.

Cuthbertson High School Cavaliers

Baseball:

Ben Gilks: The senior power hitting catcher is batting .667 with 6 hits, 4 runs, 5 doubles, 5 RBI’s with an OBP .700, Slugging 1.222, OPS 1.922 in the early going to lead the Cavaliers.

Reid Viar:  The 6’3″ 200 pound senior hurler has pitched eleven innings and has given up just 4 hits and 1 walk while accumulating 13 strikeouts with an ERA 0.00.  This is an outstanding start to the young season.

Sun Valley High School Spartans 

Baseball:

Sam Howell: The junior pitcher started the opener for the Spartans and gave up only one hit while striking out 12 batters and 4 walks in just 4.2/3 innings of work for the win recently. He also drove in the game winning runs with a single up the middle for 2 RBI’s to score the only runs in the game.

Alex Scott: The junior is hitting.556 with 5 hits, 1 run, 1 double, 3 RBI’s with an OBP .667 for a quick start of 2018 season.

Andrew Lane: The junior pitcher has contributed 4.1 innings thus far in the season without giving up a hit or walk while accumulating 7 strikeouts with an ERA .0.00.

Weddington High School Warriors

Men’s Lacrosse: 

Austin Leonard: The senior attacker and co-captain scored 5 goals, added 1 assist for 6 points in the Warriors win over Providence recently.

Anthony Todaro: The sophomore attacker scored 3 goals with 2 assists for 5 points in the recent win.

Will Shipley: The freshman standout scored 2 goals while contributing 3 assists in the same contest for 5 points.

James Shipley:  The junior midfielder and co-captain contributed 2 goals and 2 assists for a total of 4 points in the 18-4 win over Providence.

Parkwood High School Rebels

Men’s Lacrosse:

Kaleb Tyson: The sophomore midfielder scored 1 goal and picked up 5 loose ground balls while playing phenomenal defense for the Rebels.  He was also selected player of the game by his coach in the loss to the Crusaders.

Bradley Bass: The sophomore attacker scored 2 goals while adding 1 assist for 3 points. He applied pressure on the Crusader defense with 7 shots on goal.
