Cuthbertson Cavaliers 

Football: 



Myles Wallace – The running back rumbled for 93 tough yards on 17 carries for 3.4 yards per carry.  He also had 2 pass receptions for 14 yards and contributed 62 yards on kick returns for a total of 169 all-purpose yards for the Cavaliers in the win against Monroe.

Walker Davis – The senior quarterback had better games statistically.  However, his leadership showed in the fourth quarter to lead the Cavaliers to an upset win over Monroe.  He has accumulated 1571 yards and 16 TD’s this season to rank second among all Union County quarterbacks.

Marvin Ridge Mavericks:

Football: 

Caleb Woodley – The Mavericks running back continues to have solid performances weekly.  He lead his team to victory over Parkwood.  He has accumulated 480 yards on 94 attempts and has 8 TD’s to his credit.

Sean Brown – Another consistent and reliable performer for the Mavericks who they can depend upon every week had another solid game Friday night.  Brown has 488 yards on 27 receptions and a Union County leading 12 TD’s this season.

Parkwood Rebels: 

Sametrius Drakeford – The Rebels dependable running back has complied 457 yards rushing on 95 attempts including 3 TD’s this season.

Sun Valley Spartans: 

Sam Howell – Union County’s Number 1 quarterback had a solid game against fifth state ranked Charlotte Catholic this Friday night in their loss.  The Catholic defense is superb and very aggressive.  However, Howell continues to have a stellar senior season with 1736 yards passing with 93 completions on 152 attempts for 21 TD’s.  He also has accumulated 651 yards rushing on 71 attempts with 7 TD’s.  He has a total of 2387 all-purpose yards and 28 TD’s for the Spartans.

Gavin Blackwell – A consistent and capable target of the quarterback he has accumulated 488 yards on 27 receptions and 9 TD’s this season for the Spartans.

Weddington Warriors: 

Football: 

Whitner Litton – The quarterback on his return to the lineup connected on 4 TD’s of 39, 16, 5, 4 yards for the Warriors to 4 different receivers in a big win over Piedmont with a nice rebound win extending Weddington’s record to 6-1 on the season.

James Shipley – The running back caught a 5 yard pass for a TD and returned a punt 45 yards for another touchdown for the Warriors.

Will Shipley – The sophomore returned a punt 52 yards to set-up great field position from the Piedmont 21 yard line to set-up another Warrior TD.
