
With most football teams enjoying a bye week and awaiting conference play, soccer, tennis, and volleyball continued on with their seasons, and racked up some notable wins. Here are some of the victories earned by Tri-W schools this week.

Weddington
The Warriors are 9-4 in volleyball after winning three sets to none against Piedmont this week at home. Weddington’s tennis team is 12-1 after a 9-0 shutout on Thursday over Sun Valley, and a 6-3 win at Covenant Day. The men’s soccer team has brought their record into the positive with two big wins against conference opponents this week. The Warriors won 4-1 at Monroe on Monday, and won 6-0 at Sun Valley on Wednesday. Their record is 3-3-2 on the year.
Cuthbertson
The Cuthbertson varsity volleyball team moves to 8-6 on the year after three wins this week. The Cavaliers won 3-0 at home against Monroe, following a 3-2 victory over Crest on Monday. They ended their week with a three-set shut out at Parkwood on Thursday.
Marvin Ridge
The Marvin Ridge men’s soccer team has improved to 6-2-1 on the year, and 4-0 in the SCC, after conference wins this week. The Mavericks beat South Meck 3-0 on Tuesday, and won 3-2 against Cuthbertson later in the week. The women’s tennis team is 9-3 after a 7-2 win in Thursday’s match at Cuthbertson. Varsity volleyball is 14-2 after two 3-0 wins on Saturday against Lake Norman and West Iredell.

Parkwood
The Parkwood men’s soccer team is 6-1, with one tie, after Monday’s 5-2 win against Sun Valley. The women’s tennis team has improved their record after a 7-2 win at home against Union Academy.
Sun Valley
The tennis program at Sun Valley is 4-8 on the season after Tuesday’s win at home against Parkwood. The varsity volleyball team is 10-1 after a 3-0 win at home over Arborbrook Christian Academy, followed by a 3-1 win at Charlotte Catholic.
