Tri-W area baseball teams have had astounding seasons on many accounts this year. Their presence on this year’s All-UCHS Baseball teams speaks to their accomplishments, and the UCHS Baseball awards that they have earned continue to confirm their efforts.

Players from the Tri-W area that made the first and second All-UCHS Baseball teams include Cooper McKeehan of Weddington in the outfield. McKeehan is also the recipient of the uchsbaseball.com MVP award. McKeehan led the county in strikeouts with 102 under his belt for the season. McKeehan earned seven wins on the mound and maintained a 1.31 ERA for the year. He is the 2019 SCC player of the year, and earned a position on both the All-SCC and All-State teams.

Kyle McKernan of Marvin Ridge pitched for 10 wins and 85 strikeouts to secure his place at the pitching position for the All-UCHS Baseball first team. He has received the uchsbaseball.com Cy Young award and holds the honor of SCC pitcher of the year. McKernan is also a member of the All-SCC team.
