With the season in full swing, teams in the Southern Carolina 3A Conference have begun to show their trends and true colors as records develop and percentage gaps grow.

Marvin Ridge, at the top of the conference with a 10-2 record on the season, secured last weeks conference series victory against Parkwood with a 6-2 third game tie-breaker win after a 7-6 first game loss on Tuesday.  Marvin Ridge is set to begin a three game series with conference rival Weddington this week on Tuesday.

Weddington will begin the week with a 7-4 record after a conference series sweep against Charlotte Catholic with scores of 7-0, 3-0 and 4-3.  These victories put the Warriors on a six-win streak after wins against Sun Valley and Parkwood in the previous week.

Sun Valley continues a six game losing streak and moves to 3-9 on the year after losses to Porter Ridge, South Meck and Cuthbertson with scores of 5-3, 10-0 and 6-2 respectively.  The Spartans hope to end their streak of bad luck this week in a conference series against 1-11 Charlotte Catholic.

Cuthbertson advances to 8-4 on the year with a two-win conference series victory against Piedmont who begins the week at 4-8.  Cuthbertson will face Northwestern High School and Charlotte Christian this week in non-conference match-ups.
