Records have been shaken up and standings have shifted after a week of contention in the Southern Carolina 3A Conference.

The Sun Valley Spartans are glad to start the week off 6-9 on the season after a string of victories last week over Charlotte Catholic to sweep the conference series putting an end to a trend of disappointing defeats.  The Spartans hope to continue their winning streak against the Marvin Ridge Mavericks this week as the teams face off for one of the last conference series of the season.

The Mavericks’ record still holds strong as one of the top in the conference at 11-4 despite two close losses in last week’s rivalry match-up against the Weddington Warriors.

Weddington begins the week 9-5 and in high spirits after defeating rival Marvin Ridge in what was one of the most important conference series wins of the season for the Warriors.  They will face the 6-9 Piedmont Panthers in a conference series this week.

Cuthbertson stayed out of the conference drama this week and racked up a victory against Rock Hill’s Northwestern Trojans by a score of 8-2.  This win brings Cuthbertson to 10-4 on the season.  They face the Parkwood Rebels this Tuesday to begin a highly anticipated conference series.

The Rebels will begin this series 7-9 on the year after a two-loss conference series against the Piedmont Panthers last week.
